Great artwork. I have bought both volume 1 & now 2. I love the descriptions for each monster girl. It reminds me of reading an adult version of a Dungens & Dragons monster manual. I hope they continue to make these.
Drawings are fine. Writing is pathetic. Would not recommend either volume

I'll be honest: I'm not really sure what I expected, but whatever I did expect, this (and volume 1) disappointed. The pictures are of a quality you might find on Pixiv and nothing really spectacular. The accompanying stories are... bad. Just *bad*. They read like what an adolescent might imagine within the pages of "Letters to Penthouse".It's clear that there was some idea that a cohesive world should be built, but it wasn't executed beyond "the old chief monster was overthrown by a succubus".A minor complaint I have is the lack of encyclopedic ordering. There is a kind of grouping, but it's mostly slapdash. My opinions on the second volume are essentially the same.If you *must* purchase some sort of monster girl book, stick to Monster Musume or 12 Beast or something. If you *need* an encyclopedia, download some JPGs off the 'Net and write your own. It would be difficult to do worse.

I do indeed have volume one, and I can honestly say Volume 2 is amazing. As an artist and creative thinker these encyclopedias are a blast to read. Also good inspiration to draw if you get the urge to draw a female character. These books are not just well drawn, but also well written on the different monsters they touch. An encyclopedia and monster creator should have (male). Might be a little to much for some females as the characters are sexualized heavy in these pages. Not for little kids
Keeping Up With Its Predecessor

5.0 out of 5.0 by Joseph Martin on October 25, 2017
Following the success of the first volume, the second one keeps in line with its predecessor. The second volume of Monster Girl Encyclopedia is jam packed full of interesting and often times amusing facts about the monster girls, this time with a roster of monsters that really reaches out into mythology, fairy tale, and folklore. The art is fantastic on paper, the weighty book feels well built, and while you might not be able to enjoy this on your lunch break at work without a subtle cover, it's a great read during down time.
Needs more butts

4.0 out of 5.0 by Livng Corpse on May 27, 2019
Fun, sexy read, obviously not for kids as if the art didn't make it clear, there's graphic descriptions like how the part on the Lost Kingdoms of the Desert, the Apophis will turn the women, both human and monsters, into harem dancers with a w****ish like aura. Yep they use the W word. But it needs more butts, the last book barely had them and this one has even less and I say this as a breast guy. Funny too as the descriptions in the profiles mention behinds more than the last one did, and one of the few to show any in this book is a monkey ironically enough.
Better than the first

Even better than the first. Higher quality art and better organization, with colored photos on the bios instead of black and white. Very adorable and sexy, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would!
Hidden Story

5.0 out of 5.0 by Fancy Pants on February 16, 2019
The books (vol. 1 & 2) are excellent encyclopedias. They are full of interesting data about the monster girls as well as a delightful amount of pictures for each one. I admit, I did buy mostly for the pictures (as well as inspiration for my own stories) but upon reading some of the entries closely, there appears to be a hidden story going on or at least very well done world building and the changes that have occurred there that necessitate a new compendium of monsters. My only 2 complaints about the book are:1. The narrator at times can come across as sexist. Honestly not sure if I'm just being overly sensitive or if it's really there in the writing.2. I get a little bored with certain aspects of monster descriptions. Especially their diet entries. Most of them say the exact same thing (male essence) as their dietary needs.Despite these things, I still rate it 5 stars and hope more are coming in the future.
I absolutely adore monster girls

Some of the most useless information I've ever come across in my life but I love every bit of it I honestly have no idea if this is a game or an anime or if this is just info in general but I love every bit of it
