Thought I had Prime Music

3.0 out of 5.0 by pammydave on January 30, 2019
If I am a Prime member I should have access to Prime Music. All of the songs I really wanted to play required me to sign up for your monthly program for an extra fee. What good is being a Prime member if I have to pay extra to enjoy the music that I want to listen to? I feel my yearly membership fee to be a Prime member should cover ALL of Amazons services.
I use a Kindle fire and can't buy/download from Amazon.

Once upon a time I could find a song or album and either get free (prime) or buy it. I could download and listen to my music. Now I can't buy a song, something about my AMAZON KINDLE (yes I'm shouting!) not an approved device. I still have the music I bought and most of the Prime music that hasn't been taken away by the record companies that only allowed circulation for awhile; which wasn't mentioned until I investigated. Now Amazon has taken away the ability to change the volume by removing the icon. I must now go to settings and change the media volume every time I switch to/from music and my videos. Amazon has gotten too big for it's britches and I can and will shop elsewhere. I have contact them and get nowhere because the support staff, now there is an oxymoron for you, don't get the problem or argue that what you are asking was never a reality. As for other items Amazon is no longer less expensive than other websites.E. T. Nosera
Prime Music disappears with no warning

1.0 out of 5.0 by Butchie on August 14, 2018
1 artist and about 10 songs just disappeared without warning. I understand that Prime music is "free" (It is really a feature of Prime, which is a paid bundle). And that Amazon has the right to change out albums. But no warning. 1 day it just didn't work - and I have 5 months left of an annual membership. Something to keep in mind for the future.
Can no longer listen offline

1.0 out of 5.0 by Jim Kline on September 25, 2018
I used to be able to listen to amazon music when traveling with my phone in airplane mode. I was just on a flight and I tried to listen as usual and was not able to. Also, I don't want alexa or any other of these types of voice prompts so stop asking. I will not pay any money for a premium version of this as I already pay too much for prime. I will most likely dump this app and go with Spotify instead.
Meh. I like pandora better

3.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Bolton on October 29, 2018
I tried music for a while, but frankly pandora just seems better to me. The problem with all music program apps is simply this... they are designed for best use by someone who has ZERO LIFE, AND CAN SIT AROUND ALL DAY PLAYING WITH THEIR PHONE, because they all need constant input to "build" a music profile you will like. In otherwords they are designed for kids, because if your an adult, you should have work to do, not be playing with phone. Pandora you can put in 1 song, and it'll play similar type stuff all day, maybe it'll stop 2 times all day, just to make you click your still listening. Really the most telling is this. I get Music included with my prime... but I would rather pay for Pandora.
Not a fan!

Too hard to bumble about with. And not sure if it has been purchased or just listened to. I have to stick with my Apple products on this stuff....sorry.
Very difficult, waste a lot of time

Difficult to use music that you purchased with other apps on your devices. I have wasted so much time trying to download my songs on my device and not just within this app.
Used to be one of the best

1.0 out of 5.0 by Will M. on August 1, 2018
This used to be one of, if not the best music apps to be found. You weren't pestered by constant ads bugging you, it had almost everything you wanted, and never really had any issues, but this was because you were paying for it. Some people don't constantly order things all the time, or watch things thru certain streaming services (because it's rather bare bones compared to the competition), so yes, some of the customers were ALREADY paying for Amazon music. Well one day a corporate head decided to treat everyone exactly the same and charge for music, and not upgrade the streaming service, and actually downgrade the delivery service and have many CS reps get snippy about it tho millions of people are paying annually for 2 day shipping... but anyway. So they decided to chop their Music app in half, and remove a great portion of their newer music and label it "Unlimited" while charging their customers another fee for this service... then a couple years later they decide to up the membership by $20 and again, make 0 improvements to anything. So no, I'm not a big fan of this app anymore. Sorry Amazon. You've made me bitter -.-
