Not what they were, but still the best around

Alright- Following format for my typical UA posts:So - getting this part out of the way. When UA first was released and came to popularity in the US, their garments were QUALITY. Their stitching was concise, their quality control was amazing, their materials bled "quality" when touched, and it took me 5 years to finally wear in, and then out all my running gear. I was impressed. Currently - the price hasn't dropped, but I'll be impressed if this compression shirt and my 3 new pairs of running shorts make it through 2016. The stitching isn't as concise, the tangible quality feel of fabric has declined too. I'm unhappy that the price hasn't declined with quality - but unfortunately, after searching other brands, this still is the best stuff out there.I'm a recreational non-competitive runner who beats out 10-15 miles per week. I'm in my 5th year of activity and use. Compression garments increase comfort by keeping all the jiggly bits locked down, and prevent shirts from catching on your shoulders/chest and friction burning the contact areas while retaining water weight. Think: Cheese grater to sensitive areas.I've owned UA compression garments from the beginning and they're finally in need of replacement. Years ago, I purchased XL garments and found them to be snug for the first few runs, finally loosening up as they were put to work and stretched. Putting this garment on, I felt it to be a lot more 'forgiving' and creeping in size along with the typical American waistline. I'll report back later if it bothers me enough.Features - are consistent with garments of old, though the vented armpits are certainly a step in the right direction. I enjoyed finding this feature out after being skeptical about it during my initial product inspection. All in all - I can't complain too much- because competitors are charging just as much, or more, and delivering less. This is the best performance garment currently available - even if I have to replace it in 2016.
Well worth paying more for the quality product!

I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I had used cheaper base layer stuff when cycling in the past and found they didn't really do the compression thing well, nor were they absorbent or quick drying....until I found Under Armour. Their products are simply amazing. The compression works well and has held its shape for YEARS. I am still using shirts I purchased in 2013 with no change in the compression!!When sizing, I get a size smaller than the size I wear in a standard t-shirt (I'm XL but can squeeze into a L). That helps me with the compression shirt base layer under my t-shirt or bike jersey. When taking care of them, I always wash in cold water (by hand or in washing machine) and NEVER use a clothes dryer. This will help your shirts stay in new condition for years.Overall a great product and well worth paying a little extra over the others!
Absolutely Great!

It fits tight, but that's the way a compression shirt should fit! I wish I had these shirts a long time ago! These things are a lifesaver for me! I work outside all day and the summers in Southern California can be brutal for people who work outside! This shirt not only helps prevent chafing and rashes, but also keeps me cooler. At first I was a little skeptical due what I would consider a fairly high price, but believe me, they are well worth the price! I ended up investing in enough of these shirts to wear throughout the whole week. I use them as undershirts now, instead of wearing cotton undershirts like I used to. I can honestly saw that these shirts are one of the best purchases I've ever made! Get some!
great material but very snug

A super comfortable, extremely close fitting top from Under Armour.UA's description of a "second skin" fit is accurate -- it's surprisingly comfortable, and the seamless design makes for zero itchy friction points. The compression level is reasonable (not "omg it's tight"), and performs a magic trick of accenting muscles-- it's a good look. Unfortunately, if you have soft spots (ie, any gut at all), it will also accent those. So a certain minimum level of fitness necessary to carry off this look.Nobody makes better technical/athletic materials than UA these days, and this shirt is no exception. But you will need a certain level of physique to wear it. If you do, it's an excellent top.
Good compression on my injured shoulder

I bought compression shirts because I have pain in my left shoulder due to removal of part of my collar bone that was damaged by arthritis. I first tried on an XLG size to get max pressure even though I take a 2XLG size normally. Under Armor fits well & is cooler in warm weather than anything I've worn in the past. The pressure does indeed help with the pain. The length is just barely enough, which I'm sure is due to my choosing a size smaller than I usually wear. They hold up well to constant washings, are very comfortable and keep their color as if they were just purchased.
If you’re on the edge, buy the next larger size. People love the royal blue color.

I’m normally a large but I’ve gained a little weight since my second shoulder got very arthritic. I’ve already gotten 1 shoulder replacement and I’m waiting for a second. Since this is a compression shirt I ordered an extra large. I’m 5’9” 160lbs. I own a number of Under Armour compression shirts, mostly long sleeve. I lucked out on the price as the XL was quite a bit cheaper than the L for some reason. It fits perfectly and it looks great. The royal blue color really stands out. I have gotten compliments on it. They are very good and "holding everything in tight" if you catch my drift? GREAT BUY!

AWESOME as far as UA Compression shirts go. They do NOT wick moisture away but they are very good and "holding everything in tight" if you catch my drift ;) I use these under shirts in day to day clothes and my under my gym shirts so color and design doesn't matter which makes them VERY AFFORDABLE. Pick the size you want and then scroll through the colors to see how cheap certain styles are. very happy with these shirts as they last for a very long time and withstand normal washing and drying with affecting the material. Strongly recommend!
