Exceptional Base Layer

5.0 out of 5.0 by I.B. Miller on January 5, 2019
I have UA Base 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 and they are truly amazing garments. If you've never owned a good base layer, you might not realize just how useful they are and why you would want different grades. In the winter (or if you're inclined to visit the snow for fun) these garments allow you to have a core layer of warmth that also wicks away sweat under active usage. The higher number, the more warmth retention (and the higher the price, for a reason that escapes me). I wear my 2.0 under normal jeans when the temp drops below 50, 3.0 for below 30, and the 4.0 below 10. Paired with a quality cordura shell, I wear just the UA Base and the shell in almost all snow sports conditions and I'm dry and comfortable in a way that cannot be obtained otherwise.Cautionaries:1) As with all wicking fabrics, these will "smell" quickly when you sweat (all non-silvered wicking fabrics do this) - washing with a capful of pre-diluted clorox makes them perfect, IMHO2) While the outer fabric layer doesn't naturally pill, it will if you rub it against something abrasive, such as rough belt or velcro... do not wash with anything bearing exposed "rough" velcro.3) Try them on first - they should feel like tights. Bagginess of any kind will reduce performance.4) It's socks over leg cuffs, pants over shirt tails for most warmth - enjoy!
Perfect for cold weather skiing

5.0 out of 5.0 by Andrew J Calder on January 8, 2017
I have both the top and leggings in 2.0, as well as 1.0. I bought the 1.0 first, which is absolutely perfect for 20 degrees F and warmer. I caught a bit of a chill when the temp dipped into the teens, so I thought I'd try the 2.0. They are PERFECT, even down to below zero skiing. Keep in mind that skiing involves a fair amount of activity. If you're standing around in the cold, you might look at the thicker stuff...I've had many brands of base layers, and the UA is def my favorite so far. Fit is excellent, they do what they are supposed to do, and they're not terribly expensive. I love 'em!

The fit is snug without being a compression fit. They don't stretch out after all day or several days of continuous wear. I wore these all winter long from 18°f to 40°f. Not warm enough in lower temps if sitting still on a forklift, but thin enough and wick sweat good for moderate activity in high 30s to low 40s without over heating. I was always hesitant on buying because of the price, but glad i finally did. They've held up to months of every day wear. Will buy again when they wear out. I followed the wash/care guide and haven't had any issues like other people complain about
Returned Immediately/Poor Quality Control

1.0 out of 5.0 by B.G. Miller on February 2, 2019
I already own a pair of these same Under Armour Leggings in size 2XL and they fit perfectly. They are very warm and comfortable! So I ordered the same product in the same size. They arrived today also labeled as 2 XL and the waist size is about 4 inches larger than the pair I already own. I put them on and they were actually hanging off of me. Apparently there is not much concern at Under Armour for quality control. I packed them up and they are on the way back for a refund.
Just right for outdoors around 50F

5.0 out of 5.0 by Ross Patterson on September 1, 2018
I bought these 2.0 bottoms for a hiking trip where the low temperatures ranged around 50F, and where I was going to be wearing lightweight hiking pants (because the highs ranged around 75F). They were perfect - they kept me warm until the temps warmed up. I have a set of 3.0 tops and bottoms as well, but they would have been way too hot for this use.
Couldn't Be Happier!

5.0 out of 5.0 by Jsurprenant on February 22, 2017
I bought these leggings for my cold natured husband. He has worn them regularly this winter, and they are a perfect snug layer under his jeans, in our South Carolina winter weather. Under Armour's quality never lets us down. These are easy wash and dry, and have withstood many wearings and washings since they were purchased. He also likes that they have an actual fly front, unlike many lesser leggings. Very happy with this purchase!
Perfect for NH skiing or running in cooler climates

5.0 out of 5.0 by Tony on April 18, 2017
Skin tight - slight challenge to pull on but the material stays in place and provides adequate movement and warmth. Kept me very warm when temps were in the 0-25F range and not overly warm when they were up at 40-45F. Highly recommend
Underarmour has some great gear for bike riders

Why motorcycle shops do not sell this stuff is beyond me. Underarmour has some great gear for bike riders. Like their shirts that have should, elbow and rib protection built in. Wish the Motorcycle community would get with it.
